After studying Biology at the University of Firenze, I moved to Cambridge, UK, where I obtained my PhD working with Dr. J. Hutchison at the Babraham Institute and M. Gahr at the Max-Planck-Institute for Behavioural Physiology, Seewiesen, on the neuroendocrine control of sexual behaviour in birds. After a period of work at the Max-Planck-Institute for Ornithology, Andechs (Host: E. Gwinner) and UCLA (Host: B.A. Schlinger), I went to Siena where I held a "Brain Gain" Assistant Professorship. Since 2007 I am a faculty member of the University of Ferrara. If you want to know more about my research, visit my laboratory homepage. |
